Jim: As you have already seen there are 3" DEM's of Hawaii available via
ftp. There are also 7.5 Dem's available but not on an ftp server. They
are, at this time,still sales items and not avail. via ftp. Have your
patron contact the Menlo Park USGS Office of Earth Science Info. Cntr.
on 345 Middlefield Rd. Phone #415 329-4353.
The following are the 8 files of DEM data that cover the area.
27036--Hilo, 26940--Piihonua, 26939--Upper Piihonua, 27744--Puu Oo
26972--Papaikou,26930--Akaka Falls, 26937--Pua Akala, 26106--Mauna Kea
These cover a block area and may not all be needed. Have the patron call
for price and ordering info. at the phone # listed above.
