Beware: Map Room Files of President Roosevelt 1941-1945, part of University
Publications of America's World War II Research Collections on microfilm is
not, repeat not, about maps! "Map Room" was a convenient term for the "war
room" at the White House where Roosevelt, Truman et al strategized about the
war as it happened. It is not a map collection or library. So don't let anyone
bamboozle you into spending your department's money on this microfilm, despite
the seductive title! Alice Hudson, NYPL.
