   Just an aside on a different field, a thought April's comment brought to
mind.  When I was a print curator, it was often useful to note both the print
size and the sheet size.  The print equivalent of the neat line would often be
the edge of the engraving. And sheet size did vary in a lot of cases, sometimes
intentionally ("large paper" version).  Maps seem almost logical compared to
what happens in the print world.
