I have drawn many maps of The Gulf area over the past few years and have
invariably used the term Arabian Gulf. My clients have been mostly from
that area or working in this University's Dept of Arab Gulf Studies.
I believe that the terms Persia and Persian Gulf are now used only by those
from North American.
