Do not miss out on seeing spectacular historic maps and charts this
summer in New Orleans! On the afternoon of Friday, June 24^th , the
MAGERT field trip will be a tour of the _Historic New Orleans
Collection_ <http://www.hnoc.org/>. The field trip will start with the
map collection in the Williams Research Center, and then move on to the
“_Threads of Memory Exhibit_ <http://www.hnoc.org/?p=2432>”, a traveling
exhibit on loan from Seville’s Archivo General de Indias (Archives of
the Indies) which examines the lasting legacy of early Spanish Colonists
on the southern United States. We will meet at 3:15 at the HNOC's
Williams Research Center, 410 Chartres Street[_map_
