                 DR HELEN WALLIS, OBE

It is with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that
Helen Wallis, former Map Librarian of the British Library, died
peacefully yesterday evening, Tuesday 7th February, at her local
hospital. Helen, who had fought an extraordinary battle against
cancer during the past year, was full of her usual vitality and
cheerfulness right up to the end. She was 70.

Details about the funeral will be circulated via email as soon as
they are available. They will also appear in 'The Times'.

Consideration is being given to the idea of holding a memorial
service later in the year.

If you would like to write to her brother, his address is: Peter
Wallis, 22 Flask Walk, Hampstead, London NW3 1HE
