     NATIONAL WETLANDS INVENTORY

     Dear Wetlands Enthusiast:

Effective July 27, 1994 The National Wetlands Inventory is proud to
announce that the NWI digital wetlands map data is now available on
     Internet.

Using anonymous ftp you can connect to NWI's Server at
enterprise.nwi.fws.gov or 192.189.43.33 and when connected, cd to
dlgdata and get the readme.dlg file.

Please take the files you need but don't try and get everything at
once. There are currently over 13,000 digital map files available.
As the new maps are digitized they will be added to the collection.

     So, happy mapping!
