picky, picky; good question, and we would love to know the answer. I may try
calling them up in Pelham and see if any of the guys still living, and having a
memory of the "old ways" can give us all an answer.

Hello All,

A patron working with Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps has asked an interesting
question. When the map has a gas tank symbol (a circle with the letters
"G.T.") is there any way to know if the tank was above or below ground?

Thank you in advance,
