David,
Our 1807 edition in 204 sheets does not seem to have a legend either.
I says "seems" because it is out for microfilming and I can't check
the item physically. We found the index sheet on the verso of one
sheet under the linen backing. Could the legend be buried in the same
way?
When ours comes back in August, I'll check it and let you know. If you
come up with something, perhaps you could let me know.
We hope to put our microfilm into the WAML consortium. People could let
Larry Cruse know if it has a market.
It was good to see you in Chicago.
