Thanks to those who responded to my AIDS map request. I thought you might be
interested in my findings in addition to those that have appeared on MAPS-L.
Lo and behold, one of our faculty members just returned from a first ever
conference in Tampa entitled International Symposium on Computer Mapping in
Epidemiology and Environmental Health. He has given me a small coloured map
(10" x 5") of the world entitled "Global AIDS Relative to Population: A Map
Depicting population, total AIDS cases, and AIDS-per-million for the countries
of the World". The data sources used were 1994 from WHO Surveillance program
(Geneva), CDC Monthly HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report (USA), Surveillance Update:
AIDS in Canada-Health Canada. I told him that I would tell the rest of the gang
about this and that others would likely want copies and he is willing to accept
