Patrick's posting reminded me to share the below info to our listserv.

This summer our Center has scanned maps of New Jersey Geological Survey
Atlas Sheets, published between 1884 and 1894, which are in our Map
Collection. The scanning was done on a small flat-bed scanner(I wish, we
have a large scanner), and then we mosaic and compress the maps by using
MrSID software. The products of this technique are not great; however, they
are windows to our extensive map collections. Here is the URL
