          Morgan, et.al.:

I recall responding to that query somewhat facetiously but
never heard back from anyone. If you want Beatniks in San
Diego, check out Mission Beach (USGS 7.5' La Jolla) and
Ocean Beach (USGS 7.5' Point Loma). Perhaps there are still
some old broken down fifties vintage Hudsons to be found in
those narrow alleys; coffee shops there are now upscale
          Starbucks, etc.

Since Kerouac was so cynical about things towards the end
          ("I'm not a beatnik. I'm a Catholic!") I wonder if there
ever really were beatniks. Thus, I can't understand how
the beat generation could be represented cartographically
on a map. Used to be a Henry Miller Library in the parlor
of Emile White's house (Miller's Biographer) in Big Sur,
California. But I think Miller and Kerouac never really got
along, so that eliminates that quad too.

We have this item. It's published by Aaron Blake Publishers,
Los Angeles, and distributed by Gibbs M. Smith.
I don't have BIP or anything similar right here, but you
could probably find the distributor's address in one of
the standard sources.
