Help! The editorial staff of the _History of Cartography_ Project is
having a problem finding several journals and exhibition catalogs related
to the history of maps and mapmaking in Japan. If possible, we would like
to locate these materials in a US or Canadian repository, short of waiting
for a search done in Japan.

Ideally the first page of the article and the title pages of the journals
or catalogs would be acquired by us, as the reference-checked Japanese
characters will be typeset in a bibliographical index.

Does anyone know of a special collection, archives, or library that might
have these materials, or an OPAC I might telnet or gopher to for further
searching? I am looking for:

Goto Planetarium Literature Report 6 (1978).

Exhibition of Stellar Arts (Hoshi no bijutsuten), catalog
of the Chiba City Local Museum (1989), no. 12.

History of Astronomy (Tenmongaku shi), a series of lectures
on modern astronomy, vol. 15 (1983).

Square for the History of Ishigaki City (Ishigaki Shi Shi
no Hiroba), 1987, by the Yaeyama Museum curator Hanaki Yasuo.

Any leads, tips, advice, etc., will be greatly appreciated. Please
respond privately, or to the list if you see fit. Many thanks is advance.
