June in Seattle, from Thursday afternoon, June 27 through Sunday morning,
June 30. The following was sent out by the organizing committee on 17 April
and, if you fit the description, please do respond to the committee! Mary
Kelley has all the details and you can see I'm just the messenger in this
case. Even if you can't come, please send your contact information to Mary.
This is shaping up to be one of THE geographic events of this new century.

Information received from Mary Kelley:
Our preliminary schedule includes Thursday evening reception with light
food and
beverages, daily buffet breakfasts together (included in room charge or
reserved
in advance if staying elsewhere), one dinner together, social time late
afternoons and evenings, a Friday campus visit, possible Saturday Seattle
excursion, and plenty of free time to explore or just spend time with
friends.
The Silver Cloud University District Hotel provides shuttle service to the
light
rail station (airport and downtown), campus, and U District, so no need for
a
car.
We have reserved a block of rooms for a reduced rate at the Silver Cloud
University District Hotel, 5036 25th Ave NE, at the north edge of University
Village. Our group name for reserving a room is “Geography Alumni.” Call
1-800-205-6940 before May 28 to make a reservation at the reduced rate.

are welcome!
