WOW! I never thought this would happen in my career, and yet it has. Would have been nice to have seen some notice about this from the agency. Thanks for sharing this Linda.

Hello,

In response to the recent question about CIA maps, I decided to submit a question to AskGPO. Below is the response that I received from GPO. Linda Zellmer

Hello Linda Zellmer,

The CIA has ceased producing tangible maps. PREX 3.10/4: is now (EL) only.Thank you for using askGPO and for your continued support of the Federal Depository Library Program. If you need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us again.

Sincerely,

Ashok Malhotra

Hello,

This question was recently asked on Maps-L. Since nobody has answered it, I am asking GPO.

"We have not received any of those basic CIA maps (PREX 3.10/4: CIA Maps and Atlases (P/EL) Item No.: 0856-A-01)) in over a year. I do know they are available on the CIA website, but I am wondering, has the printing and distribution of these of these ceased?"

Thank you. Linda Zellmer
