Position Title: Scholarly Communications Librarian
Job Description:

The Arthur Lakes Library of the Colorado School of Mines invites applications for the position of Scholarly Communications Librarian. We are seeking creative, collaborative, passionate, and innovative candidates to provide leadership in advancing scholarly communications programs that align with Library and Campus priorities and policies. This person will lead the implementation and ongoing progression of the Arthur Lakes Library to be the campus nexus for scholarly communications. Working in a highly collaborative, small team environment, the candidate’s leadership responsibilities will intersect with many of the Library’s key strategic initiatives.

The Scholarly Communications Librarian position develops partnerships with faculty, students, and researchers at Mines and other institutions on using, creating, disseminating, and preserving scholarly information throughout the research and knowledge creation lifecycle. The Scholarly Communications Librarian has leadership, management, policy, planning, education, and advocacy responsibilities for all aspects of scholarly communications. Through proactive outreach, instruction, and consultation, the Scholarly Communications Librarian establishes campus trust in the Library’s expertise, and builds collaborative partnerships to enhance Mines’ research impact, promote open scholarship, and disseminate research outputs.
