Hi everyone:

Sorry for the confusion -- somehow a dash got inserted at the end of the
web address. It should be _http://mapregistry.library.arizona.edu_ and
my contact information is [log in to unmask]

Also there is a link from the ALA MAGERT web page at
_http://magert.whoi.edu/_ to the Map Scanning Registry.

Here it is again:

*The Map Scanning Registry is now online from the ALA Map and Geography
Round Table!*

    * Are you embarking on a map scanning project and want to know if
anyone else has scanned the same maps?
    * Do you need a resource to review technical parameters used in
      other projects?
    * Have you finished a map scanning project and want to share
      information about it?
    * Do you want to view scanned maps of a particular geographic area,
but don't know where to look?

We have the site for you! You can:

    * Search the registry by keyword, using either the basic or advanced
search screen. The search results provide you with a brief record
with a link to the full record.
    * Input your project, whether planned, in progress or complete.

We are interested in all map scanning projects, either U.S. or
international. To input a prjoect, go to the map Scanning Registry site
at _http://mapregistry.library.arizona.edu_, click on Log-in and use the
following log-in and password:

Log-in: lib
Password: ualib
Then just click on "Submit Project" and youa re ready to input
info9rmation on your project.
