The Environmental Advisory Committee for a large metropolitan area of
approx. 1 million people is just starting to think about creating a large
scale, updatable 3d relief model to enable planners, politicians, and
citizens to "see", visualize and consider the geographical features of the
region as they think about and plan development.

In preparation for an April 4th preliminary meeting on the subject, we
would appreciate any information on examples of 3d relief map/models in
practice, suppliers/vendors, etc.
