Ed Redmond,
Thanks for the added info. I’ve got some of our people here at BYU looking for the 45. I’ve forwarded your information to them. Should be interesting.

LC has the sound recording and the bib record simply says:
“Features a narrator discussing a map of the world in terms of latitude, longitude, scales, the equator, international dateline, topology, etc. “
Bib record also says:
“Custom manufactured for C.S. Hammond & Company by Columbia Record Productions”
So Hammond had Columbia Records produce the record as an instructional aid…

Hi all -
Looks like it's this collectible:
http://www.doublequicktime.com/item/description/id/61650887
The "Talking Map of the World" + record. Wonder what it says to you? Anyone still have a 45rpm record player?
It's kind of a relief that it isn't an exploration route of some kind [😊]

Hi all,
OK, I’ll try sending you this image again. Previously it was too big for attachment.
This is the image of a Hammond world map I asked about earlier, that shows some kind of routing from the southeast pacific, eventually making its way to Bangladesh. If anyone has any ideas of what historical even this routing may represent, your wisdom would be really appreciated. Maybe it’s some kind of bird migration. I have no clue.
Thanks again,
Rick Grapes
