I would like to thank all those who contributed to the recent
discussion on FEMA flood insurance rate maps. All the comments were
very helpful. I intend to catalog the 1,944 sheets that cover
Wisconsin. I estimate that it will take a little over 400 records to
catalog the individual titles.

In response to Jim Coomb's attempt to get FIRMs by contacting them
via email:

Jim, I just called the 1-800 number on their www page, told them we
were a government depository library and asked for all the maps
that cover the State of Wisconsin.. They then gave us a deposit
account number and I gave them our address. The maps started coming
right away with the bulk coming about four months latter. It was
that simple.
