Subject: RE: Scottish maps of the Shetland Islands
It’s not a dumb thing to not box up the Shetlands. I’ve been buying and studying the various Shetland Islands hiking maps in preparation for a month of riding their buses and tent-camping there next July. Maybe this is also in response to many Shetland islanders saying that they’d be better off as their own nation apart from Scotland.

Everyone,
An interesting report on the BBC site. Members of the Scottish Parliament don’t want the Shetland Islands displayed in a box on maps in official documents.

Why are MSPs voting on whether public bodies should be banned from putting Shetland in a box on maps?
