Hello All,

The University of Tennessee Knoxville campus is involved with a digitization
project to make available online TN 7.5 Minute Out-of-Print Topo Quadrangle
maps. We are experimenting with different image delivery formats such as
Zoomify and JPEG2000, as well as a georeferenced format. The University of
Tennessee has already received feedback from different sources expressing the
need for these maps online. I have put together a list below that describes
different use of these historic maps (after receiving input from previous
emails)such as recreation, geneology, academic research, etc. We would like
to know what you would use these historic maps for. Please choose from the
list below as many possible uses that apply to you. If there is a category
that I have forgot to include, please let me know. Please respond directly to
[log in to unmask] Your input is greatly appreciated!

Geographical Research (GIS and georeferncing capabilities)
Geological Research (Changes to land due to water inundation by dams, other)
Archaeological Research (Historic building/structures relevant to surveys and
excavations)
