Incidentally about 10 years ago I received a letter and 136-page book from the Voluntary Agency Network of Korea (VANK) advising me to use “East Sea” and not “Sea of Japan”. It seems their mission is to correct all the 'misinformation' about Korea’s history. Has anyone heard of the organisation or received the same package?
