MAPS/GIS LIBRARIAN.  Reports to head, Maps & Government Information
Department (a U.S. depository collection) and oversees the Library's
cartographic collections and related services, including reference,
user education, collection development, maps processing, and
coordination of maps cataloging with technical services.  Develops and
implements a new GIS program initiative; collaborates with library and
campus GIS groups to identify campus-wide needs in relation to GIS and
digital geospatial data; creates print and Web-based publications/user
guides for maps and GIS resources.  Supervises 1 FTE staff member;
provides general and specialized reference with maps and government
publications; serves as subject specialist for maps and geography,
providing faculty liaison to nationally-ranked geography department.
Some evening/weekend hours, in rotation.  Salary commensurate with
education and experience (2 or more years required), minimum $38,000.
