Hi all-

CU Boulder's map library is a 1. We keep all USGS print topos, but only keep Western states on-site. Eastern and Southern states (all scales) are in our off-site storage facility. We too have national and comprehensive coverage of current and historical editions.

The Geography Department Map Library at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is a 1. We have national and comprehensive coverage (current and historical editions) of the 7.5' series, and we retain the print materials here on-site. We also retain other scales for most other US states and regions, as well (15' etc).

Subject: USGS Topo map survey

Greetings,

I have seen a lot of offers of USGS topo sets on Maps-L for several years. I was wondering if you would answer this quick question.

My library is

1) Keeping all our print USGS topo maps. (perhaps storing all or some off-site)

2) Keeping only the print maps for the states (regions) that mainly interest my library's community.

3) Withdrawing our print USGS topo map collection.

You can reply directly to me or respond to the list.
I will post the results.

Thanks.

Michael
