For anyone with an interest in the Chicago area, the University
of Chicago Map Collection has added a few home-made ArcView
shapefiles for local political boundaries to its Website. You'll
find ward and community-area boundary files, a corrected city-
limits boundary file, and also a file with 1980 tract boundaries
for Northeastern Illinois and Northwestern Indiana. The URL is:
