The information below is from USGS Weekly Highlights over the last couple
of months. Hope you are having a great holiday season.

About the Geologic Map in the National Atlas of the United States of
America by John C. Reed and Charles A. Bush (
http://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1300/).

Landsat Data Continuity Mission by Bobbie Van Batavia (
http://pubs.usgs.gov/fs/2007/3093/).

USGS ShakeCast by David Wald and Kuo-Wan Lin. ShakeCast, a software
application that automatically retrieves earthquake shaking data from
ShakeMap (http://earthquake.usgs.gov/shakemap/), allows utilities,
transportation agencies, businesses, and other large organizations to
control and optimize the earthquake information they receive. (
http://pubs.usgs.gov/fs/2007/3086/).

The next generation of the USGS quadsheet in GeoPDF was featured in an
article in the Nov 14 issue of GISuser e-zine. Link:

USGS Orthoimagery data was a spotlight and The National Map was mentioned
in an article in the Oct. 9 edition of GIS User. Link:
