Friends in the Maps-L Community:

The computer folk at the University of Georgia have been changing
the campus e-mail addresses. Attached below is part of the official
notice about the change in the Maps-L address. It was changed several
months ago but there was no official notice. The old address still
works and will for the near future. The new address is:

[log in to unmask]

You may have noticed that my personal address was changed about 6
months ago to: [log in to unmask]

Subject: UGA Listserv migration: your list has moved
Sender: [log in to unmask]

You are listed as the primary owner of the following University
of Georgia mailing list:

MAPS-L Maps and Air Photo Systems Forum

This list has now been fully migrated to UGA's new Listserv server,

              listserv.uga.edu

Commands to listserv related to this list (such as to add or
remove a subscriber) should be sent to
              [log in to unmask]

Postings to the list should be sent to
              [log in to unmask]

Please notify your subscribers (and co-owners, if any) to begin
using the new addresses now.

You and your subscribers may already be using the listserv.uga.edu
address in preference to the old address, uga.cc.uga.edu.
If so, there is nothing you need to change. But now that your
list resides on the new server, a posting sent to the old address
([log in to unmask]) will be forwarded to the new server, but
the sender will receive a message requesting that the new address
([log in to unmask]) be used instead.

What changes, other than the address, should you expect as a result
of this move? All the listserv functions you're currently
using should be unchanged. One difference will be that all logs
are now stored in Monthly or Weekly format. More information, and
list owner and subscriber help and references can be found at
http://www.uga.edu/ucns/hostsys/listserv .

You may own other UGA lists that are not listed above: if so,
these lists have not been migrated today (they may have migrated
earlier, or not migrated yet). In any case, you can use the
listserv.uga.edu addresses now for all your lists.
