For those of you in the area, just a reminder that the exhibit Heading West
, Mapping the Territory, now at NYPL, will be closing on Saturday, May
19th. So there are two Saturdays to go, for you to trundle in to Manhattan
and see a mighty fine show, if I do say so myself!

There has been a nice response to the show, from strangers and friends
alike, from mapnerds and mapnewbies. So come on down, and do not forget to
come down the hall to Room 117 and say hello in the Map Division!

There are 174 maps on display, so plan for a couple of hours because the
label texts are painfully long! Yes, you have to read them.

There is no parking locally, so take mass transit, and save the
environment! Yes, there are inexpensive places nearby to nosh, and you can
even take in a play while you are at it.
