Hi Chris,
Here's a link to all Indian reservations in the US as recorded by the Census Bureau/TIGER in 2012:
https://catalog.data.gov/harvest/71af345d-1b76-4b45-b9db-9ad4820f5c95
I believe that federally recognized as well as state recognized reservations are included in these shapefiles.
As far as I know, you can use any of the three "tgrshp" download buttons to download the same compressed shapefile.
I'm not sure about historical national data for these -- I would be interested to know if you find shapefiles for historical reservations on a national level!
Best,
Eliza

Subject: Indian Reservations for 1900-1990
Hi everyone:
I'm working with two of our librarians in Special Collections that are interested in finding shapefiles of Indian Reservations for the US from 1900-1990. A few years ago, I digitized reservation boundaries for Arizona from 1880-1990, but we're having a hard time finding the same information for the other states.
Does anyone have any ideas about where we could find it? We found reservation boundaries for 1778-1891 but nothing more recent.
Thanks
Chris
