Hello, colleagues.

At Miami University Libraries we have a fairly large (five filing cabinets)
collection of aerial photography sets for various counties in Ohio.
Flights date from 1930s into early 1970s. These were rescued from various
county agricultural extension agencies. These are mostly prints, some
transparencies, taken from high altitude aircraft. (This to distinguish
from satellite imagery, orthocorrected imagery, and similar sets.)

We are considering a digitization project of these sets. First, Ohio
colleagues, do you know of existing repositories of digital files for
aerial photography for Ohio counties?

First, part two, are there other repositories elsewhere of Ohio aerial
imagery of this type (again, not satellite based, but from aircraft)?

Second, to any colleagues in the US, any insights and lessons learned from
similar projects with other collections?

I look forward to hearing from anyone who can provide information.

Cheers,

Ken Grabach
