>Subject: Geologic Map of Florida

Someone was inquiring this week about the availability of the 1981
Geologic Map of Florida at 1:500,000 published by the Florida
Cooperative Extension Service. I thought I would share the acquisition
information with the ListSer since the order section has been relocated
within a college that has extensive subdivisions. This is the most
current and largest scale geologic map of the entire state of Florida.

The map currently is available. It is now being sold as part of a
package of 2 maps with text for the same price one used to pay for just
the geologic map

You should request: Geologic Map of Florida/Physiographic Regions
Map of Florida set.
Cost: $5.00 plus taxes if not a tax exempt
institution
$3.00 shipping handling for each set.
(prepayment is required unless there is a
minimum purchase of $15.00)

Order from: University of Florida
Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences (IFAS)
                Publications
                P.O. Box 110011
                Gainesville, Florida 32611

I occasionally have difficulties learning of special topic maps for US
states produced by someone other than USGS or a commercial firm. It has
been helpful for me when other members of MAPS-L have shared this
information. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who
have done so in the past. Also I would like to encourage those who
might have hesitated, please share the information in the future.
