Italy is one of the many digital relief models included in 'High mountain
maps' by Digital wisdom, tel: 804-758-0670 (tappahannock, VA); also a UK
number. Cost is $1055 for the package on CD-ROM that contains most of the
world's high areas. Beautiful 'backdrop' images for digital mapping...
maybe not what this reader was after ?

The relief imagery sold in digital form as Mountain High Maps, by Digital
Wisdom, Inc., 800 800 8560 or 804 758 0670, is taken from relief models
that I believe were prepared by a British university. They might refer you
to the university, which, in turn could tell you whether these models are
available in Europe.

Well.... you said *any* help appreciated :-)

Alice,
Here in the our Geography Dept. we our the proud owners of an 7'x6'wide
plaster cast model of Italy used in the planning for the invasion of
Italy in WWII. We are raising money for the restoration of the piece
presently, hoping to have done in 1995.

After restoration we will offer extensive photo and video images of the
piece, but presently can't offer anything.

If there are question about this please email me directly or write.
