While it does not appear from my limited tinkering that tracts can be
displayed *with the LANDVIEW software*, the tract boundaries are certainly
present on the disks and can be extracted for use with other mapping and GIS
programs. We have done so successfully.
 
(Just to throw out one more example on which to gauge the speed of LANDVIEW,
displaying the map of Walla Walla County, Washington (a 10 MB file), directly
from the CD-ROM drive (a double spin drive) with a 486DX2/66 with 32 MB RAM
took 25 minutes.)
