Hi everyone,

This is news to us here at the NOAA Central Library, but we're looking into
it to see what the deal is. I'll post back if I can confirm or deny ;-)

The standard procedure is that all chart printing is done on an on-demand
basis via certified printing agents. These agents print the latest version
of the chart requested and some can also do user-specific overlays if
requested. More info here: http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/pod/index.html.

You might be able to work with these same agents for slightly older
versions of current charts, although they would not meet carriage
requirements. In the same vein, historical charts are kept here, and are
generally public domain: https://historicalcharts.noaa.gov/

Hope this helps,
Kara
