MapHist is indeed a new listserv and not a newsgroup. At moment, your
mailbox will not become clogged with too many messages. One of the
options, however, that we are investigating, is that you could receive
MapHist in DIGEST form. This would allow you to receive a group of
messages either daily or, i.e., when there are 10, 25, etc. messages in
the cue.
