This is a request, posted on another listserv. I asked permission from
Erin ( [log in to unmask]) to post her request on this listserv because
of the unusual subject matter. It's about a Torica Astro Globe that one of
you may have. Please respond directly to Erin - not the listserv.
Thanks

...
I have been asked to locate a user manual for a Torica Astro Globe
manufactured in the 1960's in Japan and sold in the US. Apparently, there
was also a US based company, Lafayette Radio Electronic Corp., which made a
similar astro globe so that manual would work too.
I am completely outside my wheelhouse with this. I searched OCLC but only
found one listing for a manual (at Princeton) and they have an ILL fee.
I suspect that if any library held something like this it would be a
science or astronomy library. Maybe this would only be in a local catalog
too not listed on OCLC. Does PAM [not me, SLA's Physics, Astronomy & Math
Division] have a listserv or wiki where I could post this request for help?
If not, do you have any suggestions on where I might track a manual like
this down? Any assistance would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Erin
