Thank you for this remark! I have to ask people who could know how this works in Israel. Often, maps that were made by the survey of Palestine were reprinted by the Israeli Defense Forces and I do not know if they did make changes or not.

Older (not sure about newer) USGS topographic maps are often indicated as reprints whereas some of the content has been modified without notice.  These changes, despite appearing to be minor in the scheme of things, can be very significant to a user.
