Please note that isdres.er.usgs.gov was retired last summer. SDTS
information now is available by FTP from sdts.er.usgs.gov. It's a UNIX box,
so no more brackets....

In addition, the (US) Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) maintains an
anonymous FTP site at ftp://fgdc.er.usgs.gov/gdc/

Users that have a World Wide Web (WWW) browser (such as Mosaic) can access
the FGDC server at ftp://fgdc.er.usgs.gov/gdc/html/fgdc.html One feature of
this page is a link to other (mostly US Federal Government) organizations
that provide geospatial data and information through the Internet.
