Did you contact the Metsker Map store here in Seattle? They should have someone on staff still that could find out this info.

Subject: Finding the Date a Metsker Map Was Published
Date: Tue, 25 Aug 2015 23:11:12 +0000

All,

I seem to remember this discussion before, but can’t locate the thread.

Does anyone know how to figure out or approximate the date of a Metsker Pocket Map of [County], [State]? Even a history of the map runs would be useful. Potential Markers I noticed:

Copyright by Charlse Metsker vs. Thos. C. Metsker
Cardboard folder attached to map vs. envelope
Blue-Line versus black ink
Road Index printed on map
What features are shown in legend.

Anyone have ideas?

Thanks,

Kathy Stroud
