The Mac is just not a significant player in the GIS arena. Sorry,
but it is basically a workstation (Unix) world with a lot of PC-based
mapping, etc. Why not run Unix on a Mac? Still does not help much
except with GRASS and the expense is often higher than a comprable
workstation configuration.
