Through the use of a U.S. Board on Geographic Names Gazetteer for Romania, I
find that Borgo Pass is a real location, although the name in use today is
Birgaului Pass (or Pasul Birgaului in Romanian. It is located at 47 degrees
16 minutes North, 25 degrees, 01 minute East.

The town of Bistritz (or Bistrici) may be today's Bistrita, at 47 degrees 08
minutes North, 24 degrees, 29 minutes East. The location with respoect to the
pass seems to be about right.
