I forgot to mention that not only CWU but other universities in Washington State collect heavily on resources about the Columbia Basin. Both the University of Washington and Washington State University have great digital collections.

I just took a peek at WSU's digital collections site located at:

http://content.libraries.wsu.edu/

If you do a search for "Columbia basin" and "map," you will find the USBR maps that you are looking for.

You may also want to take a look at UW (pronounced you-dub) at:

Subject: USBR Columbia Basin maps

Hello, one of my students is trying to find topographic data for parts of eastern Washington prior to the construction of US Bureau of Reclamation reservoirs.

He found this link:

http://research.archives.gov/description/2210454

Is it possible that these maps exist in digital form somewhere?
