I'm not sure how a paper map would have helped here. The difficulty is in a single search box serving
as such a wide array of search options: information, events, locations, topics, etc.

There are a couple of easy solutions that should be employed to really start using the power of
digital and web based mapping platforms. The search should have had a much higher preference to
finding locations within your current map bounding area, and potentially based on knowing more
about you and your result preferences.

It's less about geography and more about user interfaces, usability, and search across vast amounts
of information - of which geospatial is a single, and important, aspect.
