I'm looking for info on a series of color maps produced by the World
Bank's International Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) division in the late 70's and mid
80's. Thanks in advance if
you're able to assist in any way.

They're relatively small (in the 8.5 x 11 to 11 x 14 range), come in a
wide range of scales, and
each has an apparently unique alphanumeric code. They depict features
(both man-made and natural)
pertinent to a particular WB endeavor/project. For example:

* Bangladesh (1982): Ashuganj Power Project [IBRD 14182 R1]
* Cameroon (1984): Third Hevecam Rubber Project [IBRD 18369]
* India (1983): Bombay Urban Development Project [IBRD 17586]
* Yemen (1983): IDA Assisted Projects by Sector [IBRD 17290]

Based on what I've seen on WorldCat and the WB's "Projects" database,
they maps *appear* to be part
of WB project reports (e.g., "Staff appraisal report: India Tamil Nadu
water supply and sanitation
project"). Alas, *very* few libraries--usually 1, according to
WorldCat--have these reports, so that
assumption isn't easily confirmed.

Can anybody speak to the significance, prevalence or provenance of these
maps? (We're trying to
decide if the 30+ that we have are worth keeping.)

Thanks very much.
mf
