Hello all.  Here is the latest information about the Digital Orthophoto
Quadrangles (DOQ) CDs heard at the fall Depository Library Council meeting held
November 1-3 in Chicago.  Imagery for the entire United States will be issued
on approximately 3500 CDs, considerably less than the previous figure of 8700.
Each CD will have extraction software for use with GIS systems but will have no
display software.   A survey will be going out to ALL depository libraries
(selectives and regionals), asking them to indicate which state(s) they wish to
select.   No word yet on when the survey will come from GPO.
