Hi -

The UCLA Library moved its contemporary maps into this type of setting
about a year ago. Our historical collection is still in closed stacks
and requires an appointment to access though.

Let me know if you would like to discuss further.

Hi Rob:

The University of Arizona Library has a relatively large map collection
which is open to the public all hours the Main Library is and is
unstaffed.

I have been asked to ask: Do you know of any relatively large map
collections that are in spaces (i.e. a room in a library) that are both
open to the public and unstaffed?

Thanks,
Rob
