Hi listers, I was listening to a speaker tonight and she made the statement that the shells from the w. Pacific, sold here, were killed for their shells. I could not let that pass, and explained that almost all the shells brought here had been eaten. I like her so that is about it, but then she said the chambered Nautilus is caught for its shell. I find it hard to believe they also would not be eaten, but I do not know that for sure. Does anyone out there know if the Chambered Nautilus animal is eaten.
I do know Tridacna's are eaten, no matter that the shells are left behind or not. But what of the Nautilus?? Thanks for any answers.Carole Marshall
