I was able to download/print a copy from ResearchGate.  It's a wonderful resource.

Onderwerp: Re: [CONCH-L] polymita question Dear John,

Emilio is certainly more qualified than I on matters Polymita, but not long ago I helped Doug Wolfe try to demystify CITES and other authorities' regulation of specimen shell trade:

Since the publication has not been posted on the COA website, if you want a .pdf version, just email me and ask.

That goes for anyone else on the listserve who doesn't have a hardcopy version (just one of the perquisites of COA membership).

The pandemic has been a perfect opportunity to catch up on cataloguing.  But in doing so, I have run into a few questions regarding pricing, and the recent reclassification of molluscan families, to wit:WoRMS places Polymita in the family Cepolidae.  Others put the genus in Helminthoglyptidae.  What's a guy to do??Also, how does one assign a price value to a genus like Ploymita, which is now restricted in trade?  I have a set of 30+ polymitas, collected from the early 60's to the early 2000's.  Some have accurate locale ID and collecting dates, some do not.  Are they priceless or valueless?  This is just one example of a specie in this situation.  What factors go into pricing species that are now restricted in trade?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts & advice
