COA 2024

June 12-16, 2024

Shell-Olympics

Melbourne, FL

Now is the time to make your Reservations! The 2024 COA Convention is
drawing near. It will be at the Hilton Rialto in Melbourne, Florida. The
Summer Olympics are being held in Paris, France, our theme this time is
Shell-Olympics. Unfortunately, all the field trips planned have been
cancelled. We will start with programs and Welcome Party on June 12 with
more programs and silent auctions through the 14th, and end with the Bourse
on June 15-16. Our dear friend Alan Gettleman will be sorely missed, but we
are pushing forward to bring about the COA he would have enjoyed.

Registrations forms are on the COA website. For easy access
go to conchologistsofamerica.org.

The convention standard room rate is $139 a day plus tax. The rate is good
for June 11-16 and for 2 days pre/post-convention. Use Group code: "COA24".
Telephone reservations are quick and easy to make. Phone: 321-768-0200.
Cut-off date is May 11, 2024. We encourage you to make your reservation
now. All rooms have a refrigerator and microwave.

For our Welcome Party on June 12; we are asking you to dress
as your favorite Olympian, Olympic sport, or Chez Paris outfit, don't forget
the shells of course.

The Snail Parade entry forms will be available soon.

Donations of shells and shell-related items for the Oral and
Silent Auctions can be made to John & Cheryl Jacobs: 202 Soldier Court,
Seffner, FL 33584; <mailto:[log in to unmask]>
[log in to unmask]; 813-309-2608. Donations can be tax deductible if
officially appraised beforehand. These donations are the primary support
for COA Grants and student research.

Financial donations are accepted as well, and they help to
offset convention expenses. Financial contributions should be sent to
Steven Coker; <mailto:[log in to unmask]>
[log in to unmask]; 979-235-7460.

Questions? Contact Wanda Coker at <mailto:[log in to unmask]>
